Local attractions and traditional customs.

Ideally placed for an out of the way rural holiday, but still within easy reach of the Border towns of Jedburgh, Kelso, Melrose and Hawick the Granary offers a range of choices to keep you entertained. We are situated one hours drive south of Edinburgh in real "Border Country" full of history, most clearly seen in the sturdy tower houses of the area.

Most importantly the woodlands and rolling hills offers the perfect place to go picking up and take your dogs out training. The area has many established shoots with a welcoming crowd. Edward Martin, renowned trainer, is on hand to offer guidance on all aspects of training dogs, despite being retired Edward enjoys training his own dogs and will accompany you on shoots, (by arrangement.)

Below our map please see a list of local attractions for you to enjoy while staying in the Granary Holiday Cottage.
